We’re thrilled to announce that Euchre, the classic card game full of strategy and fun, is now available in our game library! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to the game, Euchre offers a fantastic blend of teamwork, strategy, and suspense. Here’s everything you need to know to get started:

---

🎯 Goal of the Euchre:

Be the first team to score 10 points! Points are earned through strategic play and winning hands.

🃏 Players:

4 (teams of 2)

📝 Synopsis:

In Euchre, players form two teams and compete to win hands by playing the highest valued cards. The team that wins the most hands in each round scores points. The game continues until one team reaches 10 points.

🛠️ Materials:

- Deck of Cards (32-card deck)

🧩 Set Up:

1. Split into 2 teams of 2, sitting opposite your partner.

2. Remove the 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, and Jokers from the deck, leaving 32 cards.

3. Select Player 1 to be the Dealer.

4. Deal 5 cards to each player.

5. Place the remaining cards in the center to form the Reserve Deck.

🔄 Directions:

Determine the Trump Suit:

1. The Dealer flips the top card of the Reserve Deck to reveal a suit.

2. Starting with Player 2 (left of the Dealer), each player decides to “Pass” or “Play” the revealed suit as the Trump Suit.

3. If all players pass, each player will then select a suit they want as the Trump Suit until a suit is chosen.

Play a Round:

1. Player 2 starts by playing a card from their hand.

2. Players follow in turn, playing cards of the same suit if possible.

3. The player with the highest value card wins the hand.

4. The winning player starts the next play.

5. After all 5 hands, count the number of hands won by each team and score accordingly.

6. Shuffle the deck and rotate the dealer for the next round.

🔢 Rules:

1. The dealer rotates after each round.

2. Players must follow suit if they have a card of that suit; otherwise, any card can be played.

3. Optional: Remove 7s from the deck.

4. A player may declare “Playing Alone,” meaning their partner does not participate in the round. This can lead to higher point rewards.

📊 Card Values:

**Normal Hierarchy:**

Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven

**Trump Hierarchy:**

The Jack of the Trump Suit is the highest card, followed by the Jack of the same color, then the regular suit hierarchy.

🏆 Points System:

Attackers:

Win 3 or 4 hands = 1 Point;

Win 5 hands = 2 Points

Defenders:

Win 3+ hands = 2 Points

**Playing Alone:**

Attackers:

Win 3 or 4 hands = 1 Point

Win 5 hands = 4 Points

Defenders

Win 3+ hands = 2 Points
