Want to Submit A Game? Follow Our Guidelines

*By submitting your game to LowerShelf Games, you are giving permission for the site to use it at any capacity it sees fit for all present and future purposes. 

 

The Purpose:

The goal of game submissions and game sharing on our site is to promote the creativity and experiences we all have. The site intends to provide a platform to promote them and standardize the way in which we learn how to play them.

  3. Standardization

  4. Creativity

 

The Process:

  1. Shelfers (Members who submit and/or use the site) will submit their game through our sharing platform  https://www.lowershelfgames.com/share

  2. LowerShelf will then review the game submission to determine if it is a good fit or not for the site’s gamebase and community. 

  3. If the game is not selected, LowerShelf will provide an email to the shelfer stating that the game was not selected. 

  4. If the game is selected, lowerShelf will provide an email to the shelfer stating that the game was selected. 

    1. LowerShelf will also ask the player for the following information, if provided. 

      1. Physical Address of Shelfer (to send certificate of authenticity)

      2. Social Media Handles (to promote the game’s Shelfer)

  5. If the game is selected, LowerShelf will produce the game and add it to the website

  6. The Shelfer will get their name added to their site for their game, promotion on social media and receive a tangible Certificate stating their game’s Authentic Certification

    1. Shelfers can opt out of any of the above from (:6) if they so choose. 

 

Reasons a Game Submission Would be Denied:

Game regulations are subject to change, so please keep up to date with the guidelines

  • Alluding to a dangerous/sexual penalty or act

    • ie. alcohol, violence, crude language, sexual activity, etc. 

  • If a game’s name overlaps or is the same as a game already on the site

  • If the game submission does not properly outline all of the necessary form questions

  • If the game submission is for less than 2 players

  • If the game is too similar to another game already on the site

  • If a game is a video game

  • If a game is a manufactured game 

    • ie. board game
